The Kirkey 16 Series is the entry point of the Kirkey aluminium drag seat range. It comes in only two sizes, 15.5 and 17.5 inches, built around the most common adult widths, which keeps the cost down and the stock straightforward. The back angle is fixed at 20 degrees; no adjustment. A fixed 20 degree recline suits the typical drag car seating position where the driver is laid back enough to work the wheel but not so far back that visibility over the nose suffers.
The shell carries an integrated headrest. Cover options are black tweed, black vinyl and grey tweed, or the seat can be ordered bare. Part number is 16-Series. This is the seat only; no brackets are included in the price.
The 16 Series appears in off-road builds as often as drag cars: anything from a budget oval build to a lightweight buggy where the builder wants aluminium without paying for features they will not use. Anyone wanting a wider choice of sizes or an adjustable back angle would look at the 55 Series (part 55-Series), which adds those options at a higher price, or the 38 Series for the broadest size range including 14 inch widths.
Measure seated hip width and order the nearer of the two sizes. If your measurement falls well outside either option, contact us before ordering; Kirkey builds custom widths to specification at additional cost.
